forest bathing

Also known as Shin-Rin Yoku, forest bathing is an immersive experience that encourages you to enjoy nature at a slower pace to take in the atmosphere around you and keep your mind in the present.

As a growing global wellness movement, it is backed by nearly 40 years of scientific research on the holistic benefits of immersing yourself in nature.

⟡ For your body: Release stress and blood pressure, breathe fresh air, boost your immune system, and get moving.

⟡ For your mind: Settle your awareness in nature's soothing atmosphere, and go home with improved sleep and mental focus.

⟡ For your spirit: Connect with and gain inspiration from the living earth with increased creativity and mood.

  • crafted invitations

Invitations are gentle suggestions to help immerse you in your environment. They are inclusive and personalized for each walk and its participants.

Participants are encouraged to do what is best for them, to get the most out of their experience. Your guide will always offer modifications as necessary to make experiences as accessible as possible.

  • tea ceremony

It is customary to end a forest bathing walk with a tea ceremony to enjoy the taste of nature, with a wild foraged tea, or an organic herbal tea.

Our tea ceremonies are decorated with natural materials, and always include extras such as snacks, oracle card pulls, or crystals.

  • You will feel immediate benefits of mindfully connecting with nature, and can leave the experience with no intention of practicing Forest Bathing again. It is encouraged to maintain the practice of nature connection beyond your forest bathing session to receive the full benefits, whether through participating in more offerings, self-guided nature walks, or simply incorporating the practices learned into your daily life.

  • Absolutely! Although to maintain a certain level of comfortability on my walks, I do not allow children under 12 on standard forest bathing walks. Look out for specific workshops for children!

  • Virtual Forest Bathing is an accessible, modern-day approach to the practice while allowing you to receive the benefits from the comfort of your home, with the unique addition of connecting with kindred spirits from around the country.

Studies show that even when indoors, we are still able to receive some physiological benefits of nature connection.

Virtual Forest Bathing is not meant to replace the in-person experience! You are encouraged to find local guides in your area, as certain elements of the experience simply are not the same. A virtual experience is a lovely mindful practice for anyone, and it helps foster the unique perspective of experiencing the power of nature in your own backyard.
